I do NOT agree with the suspension of Rev. Benke. The day we cannot
express the HOLY NAME of JESUS CHRIST, THE LORD AND SAVIOR OF ALL, in front
of a multitude of HIS people and those who do Not know HIM, is more than
just a sad, sad day. IT IS OUR DAY OF GREAT SHAME BEFORE OUR LORD.
An opportunity is just that - and to do anything other than what HE would
have us do is disobedience and sin. I pray the Lord would unite the LCMS
and all Christians soon. The very last thing we need to do is pull
apart in self-righteousness and arrogance. God spare us this and give us
the fortitude to continue to do HIS WILL and not what man ordains in his
own heart and mind.
