I am a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Missouri Synod, St. Petersburg, Fl. I have just read all the information you have available on your Web Site concerning the above Decision. I am appalled by the decision of the Synod to release Pastor David Benke! As a member of the Missouri Synod, I was very proud that a Pastor from our denomination was asked to say a prayer at that wonderful Service in

Yankee Stadium. I even prayed along with him! What our Synod now has done, is make a mockery of the prayer that Pastor Benke gave!!! I am saddened and ashamed about the ruling from the Synod. Does the Synod really think that only Missouri Synod members will be the only people in heaven with our Blessed Lord and God? If so, Hell is REALLY going to be crowded!!!!! If this Ruling stands after Pastor Benke's Appeal, I must rethink my reasons to continue in the Missouri Synod. If this is a personal and political problem, and I pray it is not, my hope and prayer is that all things will be resolved and "work to the Glory of God"! I will continue to pray that our Precious Lord and Savior will bless and give His insight to ALL concerned in this matter. In His Name, I remain.

Sincerely,

Marietta Keating
