"Exclusivity is not what Christ was about" |

I am a member of one MO. Synod church and an associate member of two more.
I am very disheartened by the lack of Christ's love in the hearts of a few
of our brothers in this church. This exclusivity that is practiced
by these few is certainly not what Christ was about. There are so many
other serious issues in our society that we should be concerned about instead
of trampling on the faith & love of men like Dr. Benke and our president.
May God forgive these people who are attacking them and may His Holy Spirit
convict them of the errors of their thinking & actions. We, as
a church, need to show the love of Christ to those in need of His love and
that is just what Dr. Benke did. We also need to stand with the other
members of Christ's church on earth and we certainly don't need to act like
the church universal is made up of only Missouri Synod Lutherans! In
fact, these actions taken against Dr. Benke prove that some in our church
may have missed the point! May the Lord strengthen Dr. Benke at this
time of trial in his ministry & life.
