Do we follow the Great Commission in Matthew 28 or a "church commission" made up of humans?

Did our Lord, when He did His teaching and preaching on earth pull out his briefcase that contained constitutions, articles and church documents, then decide what He could or could not say in public with sinners and believers alike? We believe from scripture that Christ's message was: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations". Christ's message of theology was so simple as we read it and understand it. As He walked the roads and paths and preached along the shores of Galilee, did He ask if it was a civic event, a religious event, are there unbelievers or believers present? He is our example.

Of this we know: Christ died for our sins. He arose from the dead so we can have life eternal. Just maybe one lost sheep heard Dr. Benke's prayer, in the name of Jesus, to our hurting Nation and to all nations, and was brought to eternal life.

We thank God for men like Dr. Benke and we are praying for healing in our Synod. We are praying for God's unfailing love, patience, courage and strength for both Dr. Benke and our president, Dr. Kieschnick as they bare this cross.
