I as a catholic review this matter in a religion way instead of a political way.

I feel Mr. Benke was serving the Lord in being there that day and praying with the world and trying like all the other religions represented that day to unite the country and the world and striving for world peace. I work in a Lutheran Preschool but I worship in a Catholic Church and when I saw Mr. Benke there I thought it was very appropriate for the Lutheran Church to be present.   It seems that the Lutheran Church is dividing their own people and this is not what God would have wanted.   Reconsider this decision and let Mr. Benke do his job that the Lord would want him to do.  Unite instead of dividing.
