I believe that there should be better, and more Biblical ways to resolve disputes and differences in our church.  To air it to the public destroys the witness of us as loving Christians who follow in the footsteps of Jesus our Savior.
The involved individuals should be on their knees first, then seated around a narrow table face to face where they would be able to touch the person across from them; there should be an empty chair at the table where everyone acknowledges that Jesus is seated. Then after a prayer the two parties should discuss their differences in a rational and calm manner without jumping to rash decisions.
